  1. Heartburn is the worst. It actually made me sick the other morning. I have been taking an over the counter med the last few weeks as I have ran out of the one I was given after surgery. I wish I had asked for more.
  2. I slept a TON on days 5-8. If I sat down I was sleep. My husband would laugh at me and say I think surgery made you narcoleptic.
  3. WEX classes are way more intense than people think. You also work harder than you think you are. I use to go but they have been cancelling classes where I live as they can't get/keep the enrollment up.
  4. That is a email I would print and frame.
  5. congrats. I am right there with you I have lost 40lbs and my body loves it my bad and knees don't hurt me anymore.
  6. I saved some old clothes but not that much. I have bought smaller clothes in the past hoping to get into them someday ... Well those days have been arriving. I do tho tell myself to only use one pair of jeans in each size and sell the others that still have the tags on them.
  7. If you bought the house Cash can't you take out a small mortgage on the house?
  8. You will be able to eat your small meal just smaller portion(s) of it. Also I have found some things just don't agree with me anymore.
  9. Are you taking and anti acid? I know that if I have a lot of acid going on I feel like something is stuck. Heck I felt like that for the first 4 weeks.
  10. Thanks for this I am going to look for that in my local store tomorrow. I hope they have ti since I live in the middle of no where.
  11. I had horrible back pain for about a full 3 weeks. I did have days here and there that I was ok. As soon as I could take a bath I was taking one a day plus my long hot showers. I would try to stretch my back out as much as I could with the hot shower water running on it. My husband was great during this time I had him running my back as much as possible.
  12. I had a friend that this would happen to and they would take a really hot bath and massage where the blockage was. They would do this almost ever day when it was really bad they would do this a few times a day but if you do a hot bath a few times a day make sure you moisturize your skin as it will dry out.
  13. I also went to Dr. Ortiz at Obesity Control Center. They are really good about emailing right back with prices and sometimes run specials for different things.
  14. I am a new sleeve but in my research of surgery's I did come across posts where people where far out date wish and trying to go back to eating healthy. On suggestion that I had read over and over was do the pre op diet again for 2 weeks and then a type of post op diet. Mushes and then soft food again. a week each during this time it will reset your body and your taste buds.
  15. it took me a full 3 weeks before I even wanted to clean house I mean I was sick of looking at it but I felt bad. I would have a period of 2-3 good days and then feel like I was hit by a truck again.
  16. I don't have a problem with straws and was never told not to use them either.
  17. stales are very normal but what I have found is when I am in a stall if I up my protein or my calories I come out of it faster.
  18. botox is it. My neighbor wanted to get some while I she was with me in Mexico but she chickened out. She calls hers her parking meter slot.
  19. I only used the gas X during the first week post op. I also just used them as needed. You will know when you need them and if they are working for you.
  20. So to the DR I have BAD knees and the only exercise I can do it bike. Unless you are biking and not paying attention to form.
  21. I was allowed to drink apple juice and they said to drink it watered down or It would make my stool runny. So on day 7 when I didn't have a BM I just drank a little straight apple juice.
  22. I write it down when I weight myself and was bad weighing daily but now I am sticking to just Friday and Monday.
  23. it is an EKG I would think. They have you undress on top and wear a gown with it open in the front. They they put sticky things on your chest upper like front shoulders, under a breast of them some on your legs and hook wires up to them and then run a machine for about 2-3 minutes and then you are done.
  24. My sole choice with VSG as I was looking at lap band is people are now having great issues with excess scar tissue still forming years after surgery. Maybe people have found the sweet spot with their band and then all of a sudden can't find it again after being years out from surgery. Another this was people never have it removed because they are done with it. Why get it if you have no reason to get it removed later so why not do something forever. Also all my family is over weight. or become over weight once 40 or 50.
  25. My Dr recommends this, protein intake should average 60-120g daily. Avoid liquid calories.
