I really liked John Oliver, but he did a great job with this story...
Very nice story about how what you read about science in the popular press can be completely wrong. (NSFW, language)

Mindful moderation worked well for me until my band was removed and then the little part of my brain that said "o you haven't had (insert food here) in so long because you physically couldn't eat it, one won't hurt you". Yeah all downhill from there

Wow that weight loss to me is awesome!!! I'm getting ready for revision and I don't remember losing a thing close to that in so short of time.
Reading those that have lost 17-20lbs a month scares me a little actually, even though I know for surgery it could be a person short term normal. I've never lost that much so quickly. You sound be proud of yourself.

Congratulations to you all for such amazing weight loss. 10+ pounds a months I AMAZING!!! Don't forget we are all different (ages / muscle composition / resting metabolic rate / exercise intensity etc). Despite that thought I will be SUPER happy if I continue to lose 10 pounds per month. To me, that is a more sustainable, healthy weight loss that means I may not lose any hair!!!!
Well done and stay determined. You are doing GREAT!!

I knew it would come, heck I ALMOST welcomed it. Saggy skin means less fat, less weight.
But I didn't expect it to be so dramatic so soon. And of all places it started in my boobs. Come on, the one place it's okay to be big. Mine weren't giant, so I really didn't expect to lose much from them, I am (or was :/ ) only a cup size larger than when I was thin. Really body, there is plenty to lose from my stomach, my thighs, my arms first.
Despite that it's obviously fat loss, I am not sure this one counts as a victory.
Adding boob job to first plastics expense list....

I did not experience this. Emotions were in check after surgery.
Fat cells store not only fat but also chemicals and hormones. As you decrease your fat cells, these are released into your system. So you are probably experiencing a hormone overload. Drink plenty of fluids to flush these hormones through your system. I suspect that when you reach your bottom weight, these effects should diminish.

My daughter wasn't very picky since she wasn't exclusive for very long but a friend of mine had a hard time weening. She used a supplemental nursing system and started introducing her LO t formula while nursing. I have seen them for $15 or so online. Idk if it will help but I started giving my LO rice Cereal at 3 months because she always seemed hungry

Unfortunate I would suggest stopping first. You take in so few calories when you do the pre op diet and post op that your body is really going to struggle producing milk. Plus with how restricted you will be for months after until you reach your "normal" it will be hard to get all the nutrients you need for your body let alone the calories and nutrients to provide to baby. I was only banded for 2 yrs before j had my LO and I had a hard time with supply. I did the best I could but I had to supplement and then stop completely. I just couldn't supply enough. The process to get WLS can take 2-4 months, sometimes longer so that would give both you and your new baby time to adjust to the switch.
    Congrats and goo luck

    Doc'sWife reacted to Sharon1964 in Confessional - I'm human, and I don't like it
I've been less active around the forums lately - I know we all go through it, our interest waxes and wanes.
Sometimes I feel like I have nothing to contribute. Sometimes I feel like I'm just at a different place in my life now, and I'm no longer desperately searching for as much information as I can find.
Someone wrote to me privately recently, and told me that my post about coming out as poly gave her the courage to come out to some of her family as poly. The words that I keep seeing like a flashing neon sign are these: "I really admire you for your authentic living - I am not quite there yet (as evidenced by this private msg and not public on your thread)."
Welllllllll. Time to confess I'm human. And I don't like it one little bit! I've been hovering between 246 and 247 pounds for 17 days now. Am I in a stall? Hell no. I've let things creep back into my life that shouldn't be there. Alcohol. Snacks. Not enough fluids.
I'm human. Make it STOP! Being human is wayyyy overrated!
    F**k!
