Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!

I really need to get into recipes for this...those roll ups sound good. Any other quick, easy recipes that I can make several at a time Andre make for the next day or later in the week?

    How Much Can You Eat?

I'm not sure how the ability to eat 2 tacos indicates the need for a fill? I would think if you're hungry again after having a meal with 3 oz Protein and veggies plus a bit of carbs and you were hungry 2or 3 hours later would be a better indicator. Again, the band does not restrict the amount of food

Be Honest- Is Banded Life Hard?

    A Week Out - Gaining?

This is normal for most. Just keep to your surgeons post op eating plan and the weight loss will come

    Uti

Are you asking because you are on a pre op diet that only allows Protein shakes? If so, talk with your surgeons office. If you're not on a pre-op diet, have a bit for sure. Are you on any medication for the infection?

    Put Your Loss In Perspective...

I lost my 3 year old son...twice! Just picking him up to carry hi now seems heavy...and I was carrying 2extra of him everyday!!!
  9. I don't shop in VS, though I could now. I go to a bra boutique place in my town and have hem fit me each time. Some bras have nice wide bands along the back and sides to help with the bulges. I wear a 36DD and don't like that from the back, you can see my bra line...but the small back is needed to hoist my girls up and in place.

    How Much Can You Eat?

To answer your question though...at 2 years out and 5cc Ina 10 cc band, I can each as much as I want...cups of food probably...haven't tested it out but when I'm done my 1c, I physically could eat more...but I push away from the table and call it a meal. Then 4 or so hours later I start to feel hungry again and sit for my next meal

    How Much Can You Eat?

The band is not meant to restrict your volume of food. That is our responsibility as a Bandster. The band is meant to dull our hunger, allow us to feel satisfied longer on smaller amounts of food. Our job is to choose the foods with good nutritional value and to stop eating after 1c or .5c...whichever your surgeons guideline is.
  12. Why not send a link to the information? I'm working from my surgeon's information

My dr told me it's a type of yeast infection due to moisture or something. I clean it and put talcum powder there to keep it dry

    Barrel Racing After Lap Band

I think your surgeon is right...but only you know your body. Get out there on the horse @ 3 weeks and see how you feel...if ok...then go for it. The band is stitched to your stomach so the jostling shouldn't cause a slip.

    Vomit Blood

Throwing up blood is not normal and would constitute an emergent situation in my books. Having gone through a similar situation and not going to the ER, I continued to throw up blood...violently, ultimately my band slipped. I was in another country abroad at the time which is the only reason why I didn't head straight for the ER. I got on the first flight available to go home, I emailed my surgeon and his office in advance, by the time I landed I had several emails, phone calls and text messages both from my surgeon and his office...all said to head to the hospital where he would meet me. NHL had already set up a number of tests for me and had put me on the emergent wait list for an OR. I need to have my band repositioned. It was a very painful time for me and I got dangerously dehydrated. This is nothing to play around with
  18. 5 for me..and they used the same 5 when they had to reposition the band due to a slip
  19. I have to admit, I'm a bit of a scale *****...morning and night...
  20. Sorry to hear of your struggles. I agree with Missy, a good counselor would make the world of difference. Also, have you been getting regular fills?

    Gained Weight..help

I'd first go to my surgeon and have him check my band. Once everything checks out fine, I'd ask for a fill. I'd go back to basics, may use the 5 day pouch test and keeping coming to this site...there's tons of motivational people here.
