  1. I had a thigh lift to get rid of the same problem. The results are amazing and I'm so glad I did it I can wear shorts now ;-) I have also had a Tummy Tuck, breast lift, arm lift, butt lift and last week I had my last surgery an upper back lift. Every single one of these surgeries was worth it! You do have to trade off the hanging skin for a scar but the scars fade and most of mine have but even if they didn't they tell a story. My daughter was so wonderful and said the best thing to me one day when I was looking at my scars she said "mom your like a tiger you've earned your stripes" see a surgeon about your options you won't regret it.

  2. I just had an upper back lift to get rid of this problem. I had it done last week and I love love love the results!!! There is no longer one spot on my body that you can pinch anything on (thanks to plastic surgery) I decided to have the upper back lift done when just like you I would cover my shoulders with a shaw I worked to darn hard to do that plus I had a Tummy Tuck, breast lift, arm lift, thigh lift, and butt lift (not all at once) it seemed silly to just quit while I had only one more surgery left. I highly recommend you see your surgeon about this option it's worth it.

  3. Allison0927, my Tummy Tuck was $6500 breast and arm lift was $8000 and I just had a bilateral leg lift that was $4500. It was worth every single penny! I can't even begin to tell you how much better I feel in my own skin now.

Danielle b thanks for the tip I am sitting on a cloud of pillows and u were right the butt incisions are the worst part along with the drains i have incisions that run down to my knees but u cant even see them and it actually lifted my lower legs too.

All in all the pain is not bad and completely controlled by pain medication and I am only needing a half dose.

  4. Cazzy, I have been there I have lost over 200 pounds had plastic surgery and will have my legs done in July and I cant for the life of me understand why I wasn't critical of myself when I was over 300 pounds like I was when I reached bellow my goal weight. The only answer I have is that being that big I was dead inside I didn't care about my self and when you don't care about yourself you can't even be critical of yourself and thats worse. When I started caring about myself that was when the critical part of me came out (critical towards myself) I had to realize that my self worth didn't come from the way I looked or the # on the scale that kept me in bondage my worth came from who I am in Christ. :-)

  5. I had the traditional port but had it switched to the low profile port when I had my tt. It is much better then before but it still sticks out like a mini golf ball but as far as weight loss goes its a good thing. One option is to have your surgeon place it under the muscle but I wanted any future port work to be a simple procedure (fills and such) just in case.

  6. I am so sorry you are feeling discouraged. Are you eating processed foods? The reason I ask is because processed foods will always slide right down because it already has gone through a phase of digestion it will not stay in your pouch. Take a look at your diet are you really not satisfied after eating some skinless chicken breast, vegetables and sweet potatoes for example? For the first year I battled with head hunger I kept telling myself I was really hungry but I wasn't I just wanted to eat. But please keep on going in the right direction no matter what your scale says doing the opposite will only cause weight gain and you already know that.

  7. I'm excited for you! I had mine done the beginning of this year and I am so glad I did. I had to take my pain medication for 3 days and I set my alarm clock to go off when the next dose was due to "stay ahead of the pain" the muscle tightening is what hurts but staying hunched over with a pillow really helped. The pain is worth it and it goes by fast just make sure you have plenty of books to read or movies to watch it can get kinda boring laying around but 4 days after surgery I was walking the neighborhood.
