    Spring Break Challenge

I'm in! I'm so glad that there is another challenge. I find that I do better with them.
  6. When just being banded you are not filled, or if you are it is so insignificant that you can barely tell. It won't be until you've had a couple of fills (or if you're lucky one fill) that you will start feeling satisfied. Before I had my first fill I felt like it was worse than before being banded. I believe that I am at my sweet spot now and it makes such a difference. Just hang in there and it will be worth it .
  7. Hi everyone! So I have been having some pain lately when I sleep but only when I am laying on my side. Why is that? I was banded 10/1/10 and feel great otherwise but it is so hard for me to sleep in any position except on my back. Any suggestions?

    Need a protein shake

When I was on clear liquids my doctor told me to just make sure I kept hydrate but I was also only on clears for 2 days. I now use the EAS chocolate fudge protein shake and i get them from walmart or Sam's club.
  9. Happy New Year everyone!! I hope everyone is doing well. This is going to be the year that I kick ass in the gym. I have been slacking lately with the holidays and my cruise. I go tomorrow to sign up for some personal training because I know that I will have such a hard time doing it myself. I hope everyone does well this year!
  10. I talked to my doctor about when I could start having a few drinks and he gave me the ok at the 1 month post-op mark. I think people need to listen to what their doctors say not what everyone on here says. Everyone's body is different and the doctor knows you best. The people on here just know what you say

    help !! hiccups ....

I get the hiccups all of the time after I eat and drink. I talked to my doctor and he said that it's probably because my stomach is now resting against my diaphragm when it gets full. Nothing has helped me.
  12. Good morning everyone. Hope the holidays went well. I was so frustrated with my weight earlier this week because I gained but then I chalked it up to a cruise I went on earlier this month and the holidays. I'm hoping this year will be the year of Skinny Me because I am so tired of shopping in plus sizes. It will be so nice to go into any store and try things on. I'm planning on a lot of traveling this upcoming year and hope to buy a bathing suit that doesn't have a skirt attached to it!! What are your new year's resolutions?

    Frustrated

When I started on mushies and solid foods my weight loss decreased. I would suggest keeping with the 1/2 cup of food making sure it's mostly protein and drink a lot of water. Also keep exercising. One of the weeks I gain 3 lbs and I totally freaked out but my dr. said that since I am now exercising I'm gaining muscle. Hope all goes well

For the single gals on here....

I just recently started dating again and it's been hard because I had to explain why I couldn't eat certain things when I went out. Most of the time the guys didn't get why I wanted to put my body through it. The one guy I'm dating is great with it but the other is just confused by it. Just remember when in the bedroom with a guy that they aren't perfect either...lets see hairy back, chest, or ass, they most likely have some extra cushion. If you're that worried about it do it at night with the lights out I think once you become more comfortable with yourself it might get easier.
