  3. But you can stretch it back out like bypass tho right?
  4. i found out a couple weeks ago i have a pretty bad slip with the lapband and i go see the surgeon on monday to see my options. im only about 30 pounds away from my goal weight im 164 im down about 128lbs. How does everyone feel about the switch do you wish you didn't? whats the difference between the two? i dont really know much about the sleeve. Is it kinda like bypass? im scared if i switch that i could stretch the pouch. and with the band i know it will stop me from eating thoughts?
  5. I got a gym membership today so I plan on keeping this weight off. And my hunger at this point isn't so bad. I already eat good so ive got that part down I think ill be ok. I hope lol
  6. None at all besides thinking I needed a fill cause I was able to eat more. And its not a small slip its big won't be able to be fixed unless I have surgery. I went in for a fill and they said they recommend me getting a upper gi once a year I hadn't had one since right after surgery so I listened and got one a sure enough there it was. I'm completely unfilled now. They took out 9ccs
  7. Thanks everyone I guess I shouldn't have bragged so much I found out last week that I had a bad slip which was a shock because ive done so well and haven't had any symptoms. Well today I get a complete unfill and talk about having surgery. Totally disappointed in myself
  8. thank you so much this makes me feel better i know that i am able to eat right as well as exercise im just disappointed in myself i think its from over eating which i know i shouldnt do ugh but thanks for your kind words and i hope all goes well for me.
  9. She said its a bad fill. I'm not sure I will know more Monday. Just seems so weird I had no clue
  10. I'm so sad and so disappointed. I have done SO well ive lost 128lbs and feel great but noticed I could start eating a lot more then I could before but thought since I'm two years out maybe I need a fill after not having one for 1 1/2 years. When I went in they recommend I get a upper gi to make sure I'm ok. Well I have a bad slip and have to remove the fluid Monday and have to have surgery to fix it. Please someone who has had this hasn't gained much and has been ok after tell me it will be ok
  11. anyone else banded at the salem hospital?
  12. congrats thats awesome one step closer!!! yippee how exciting
  13. i got pregnant close to 1 year after and losing about 105lbs i did really well during pregnancy only gained 20 lbs and dint have to be unfilled at all. my son is now 8.5 months old and im down 128 lbs and counting was the only way i could get pregnant
  14. i know this post is old but thought id see how your doing now? im down 128 pounds hope your doing well as well
  15. i remember feeling like that at one time. your not alone with that and to be honest even after my first fill i was thinking are you kidding me this thing is never going to work for me. but my doctors office took it really slow by 1cc only at each fill. so it took me until about 6cc to really notice difference and now im at a 7.5cc in a 14cc band. dont worry it takes time then it takes time to figure it out how it works and what works for you to lose. im a little over 2 years post op and im down 128 pounds and counting weight lose with the band is slow but steady so you are going to have lots of patience hang in there soon you will fill banded
  16. im pretty sure thats normal because your body kinda goes into shock i think because your not used to liquid diets. I was the same way and like daisychains said it will get better.
  17. thanks you look great as well
  18. Hang in there I have my fingers crossed that the credit for you is approved it will be one of the best things you ever do. If you need a buddy to chat with I'm happy to listen and talk. Keep us posted on what they say. Good luck.
