I found out in January I had a bad slip and that it needed to be removed or fixed I had zero symptoms only thing I noticed was I was getting hungry more often and was able to eat a lot more then I could before. So about 3 weeks ago I had it removed and plan on getting the sleeve next month. If I was you I get Your primary care doctor to get a upper gi done to see if you had a slip. That's how I found out. Maybe they can fax copies of the report to your old surgeon in the other state.

Im so excited to see this. I was banned in 2010 at salem hospital and had a really bad slip and had to have it removed 2013 about 3 weeks ago I'm completly self pay and salem hospital wanted 18 thousand to removed we I went to portland OHSU for 9 thousand dollars and had it removed and I've been gaining since and totally depressed because of that and i knew i needed help again. So im going to Dr.Tersigni for the gastric sleeve but i was worried because its so cheap there but im glad to see others that have gone to him and had great results this gives me hope again.

anyone ever have there surgery done from dr tersigni? im considering going there because its about 10 thousand dollars cheap because its done in a surgical center instead of a hospital.. anyone??

HELP I really need to find a insurance company that covers bariatric stuff. I have had a bad slip and I have to have it repaired with surgery its going to cost me 18thousand dollars I have insurance but not that covers any of this. I pay my insurance out of pocket and I dont have a job im a stay at home mom. So is there any insurance out there that I can pay out of pocket that will cover lap band stuff?

good luck i hope it all works out for you i found out i had a slip band and i have done so well ive lost 128 lbs idk yet if i will have to have it removed or not. but im scared of that i am unfilled right now for two weeks and i hate it i wish i wasnt but if they let me switch to the sleeve im going for it!! good luck and keep us posted on how you do

I'm sorry to hear this and hope everything works out for you. If I have to have mine removed I plan on getting the gastric sleeve I see the surgeon Monday was suppose to last Monday but they cancelled. Keep me posted on how things go for you.

Can pregnancy cause the band to slip? I had my baby 9 months ago I never removed any liquid during the pregnancy at all.
