i feel the same way the band worked really well for me too i lost 128lbs and im back up 25lbs since having it unfilled in january and then removed a month and a half ago. and im getting my sleeve july 1st i worry that something will happen to it too

my band was removed a month and a half ago and it was the most easiest surgery I've ever had. i was up doing normal things hours after surgery i didnt even use the pain pills. my original surgeon said 3 months but im actually going to a different place and im waiting 2 months getting my sleeve july 1st

im becoming a sleever july 1st my band was removed about two months ago. ive gain 25lbs back from the 128 i had lost Good luck with your new journey im a little nervous i hope my sleeve doesnt fail me like my band did.

YIKES thats so scary.. but im glad your able to get the surgery my date is july 1st i wish it would hurry up because i hate being hungry all the time and im gaining my bmi i think is 31 something like that. but i hope i have wonderful results with the sleeve. im hoping to lose another 40/50lbs.

I went full term pregnancy and delivered a healthy 7lb 3oz baby boy while banded with out getting unfilled or even a little taken out. But I look back now and wish I would have taken a little bit out. There were days I was so tight that I couldn't eat all all. And there was a day I vomited really bad and I'm convinced that's why I slipped as of 3 weeks ago I'm no longer banded and have been unfilled since January. If I was you I would listen to your body if you feel over tight or unable to eat go in and get unfilled its not worth getting a slip.

I found out after having my son I had a slip I never got my band unfilled while pregnant either and can remember vomiting one time really bad which I think was the reason I slipped. I'm now no longer banded because my slip was so bad.

I found out in January I had a bad slip and that it needed to be removed or fixed I had zero symptoms only thing I noticed was I was getting hungry more often and was able to eat a lot more then I could before. So about 3 weeks ago I had it removed and plan on getting the sleeve next month. If I was you I get Your primary care doctor to get a upper gi done to see if you had a slip. That's how I found out. Maybe they can fax copies of the report to your old surgeon in the other state.

Im so excited to see this. I was banned in 2010 at salem hospital and had a really bad slip and had to have it removed 2013 about 3 weeks ago I'm completly self pay and salem hospital wanted 18 thousand to removed we I went to portland OHSU for 9 thousand dollars and had it removed and I've been gaining since and totally depressed because of that and i knew i needed help again. So im going to Dr.Tersigni for the gastric sleeve but i was worried because its so cheap there but im glad to see others that have gone to him and had great results this gives me hope again.

im new here i was banned in 2010 and had a bad slip and had it removed 2 weeks ago so id really like to have the sleeve. Can someone explain how it works? what causes leaks and are leaks common? what you can and cant eat? or can you eat everything just smaller amounts? thanks

anyone ever have there surgery done from dr tersigni? im considering going there because its about 10 thousand dollars cheap because its done in a surgical center instead of a hospital.. anyone??

There was day i can remember that I could hardly eat it was in the first 3 months was really bad. and i threw up once really bad and of course i found out i have slipped recently which was so disappointing and its a bad slip where im going to have to have it fixed or removed but just go slow and maybe get a slight un fill

HELP I really need to find a insurance company that covers bariatric stuff. I have had a bad slip and I have to have it repaired with surgery its going to cost me 18thousand dollars I have insurance but not that covers any of this. I pay my insurance out of pocket and I dont have a job im a stay at home mom. So is there any insurance out there that I can pay out of pocket that will cover lap band stuff?

i found out a couple weeks ago i have a pretty bad slip with the lapband and i go see the surgeon on monday to see my options. im only about 30 pounds away from my goal weight im 164 im down about 128lbs. How does everyone feel about the switch do you wish you didn't? whats the difference between the two? i dont really know much about the sleeve. Is it kinda like bypass? im scared if i switch that i could stretch the pouch. and with the band i know it will stop me from eating thoughts?
