  1. my hairdresser reccomend it for any of her clients who have surgery. I took it and I didnt lose any hair. Of course I dont know if it was from the biotin but it cannot hurt.
  2. its completely normal. I had a headache from hell until day 4 of my 2 week preop diet. Call your Dr and see what you can take. I was allowed tylenol.
  3. Thats wonderful! The first step in my opinion is finding a Dr you trust and have complete confidence in. I hope it goes well @ the PCP.
  4. Have you found a doctor you like yet?
  5. You can uncover it when the Dr says to. have you been to your post op visit yet?
  6. I am thankful for my supportive husband, my 2 daughters and most especially my 17 month old granddaughter who had given me a whole new reason to live. Additionally I am thankful that I kicked myself in the head 2 years ago and found the inner strength to get the weight off and become the person I always knew was hiding under all the fat. And lastly I am thankful for my band and the support it gives me as I learn to maintain this weight.....and my dr for teaching me how to live with it...
  7. I ate 1000 calories per day. I divided that by 3 meals @ 300 ...give or take and 1 or 2 low cal Snacks. At each meal I ate 3 oz protien and tried to get in 1/2 c veggies / salad and 1/4c starch. That number may or may not work for you. When you get a new NUT or Dr I would get their opinion
  8. good now I can go to bed...lol
  9. Just don't do it unless you want to stay fat. I know that seems like an uncaring opinion but it isn't... It's truthful and honest Life will always throw something at you you can't control. Your weight isn't one of them... So dig deep, recommit yourself and make it happen"
  10. I had a sneezing fit after surgery..for like 3 hours.. It was miserable and I was sure I ripped apart my insides... They finally gave me Benadryl and I stopped and went home..... No damage thankfully. So heed the advice to call the dr get some anti nausea meds ASAP!! I have a whole bottle I didn't need but was glad I had
  11. Thanks for those nice words.... But 52 isn't a spring chicken although I am officially smaller and healthier than I was in middle school.... Barring gravity of course. Lol Hey did I get credit for fathead? Just trying to keep track.
  12. The first step is to find a dr that the insurance will cover. Start with the insurance company... Do they offer referrals? Do you need a referral from a primary doc? Then make an appointment, go to a seminar and read everything you can on living the life of a lap band patient. Best wishes as you make your decision
  13. Well...if he's in the bathroom...what words rhyme with eat? One might be known to a drummer and the other a butcher.... But we will leave it there...
  14. No fat.... Banjo my kids are adults in their 20s... But I have a 16 month old granddaughter
  15. . Me too.... But only 1/4 cup. To answer your questions... I measured from the start
  16. Haha. I could take that in so many directions.... But I don't want to tarnish my reputation... I will get hate mail. Lol
  17. Big wall stickers of sports stars
  18. Not me...that would be heating and from this forum you know I don't cheat.
  19. Duh...he went to the kitchen to eat. If he would have spent mOre time in the bathroom he wouldn't be as fat.....get it???? LOL
  20. Hahahahaha. Now that is funny. Maddy and I answered the same word when we could have said fatty, fathead...pick one....
  21. Good question. I had a lot to lose and I recall my clothes were all elastic waists so I didn't get a hint from them.... It was about 40 lbs down when someone I hadnt seen in months asked me if I was losing weight... I think that was the first NSV. The second one was down 90 lbs and I flew for the first time being banded.... And I didn't need a seat belt extender. That was a great day.
  22. Oh crud I read it wrong... Thought u wanted Wifey's name
