Planning for the week

I go back to work tomorrow after a month off and am planning for my meals. Breakfast before I go in each day will be a Chike Protein Shake, lunch will be a Slim fast 20 gram protein shake, I will take 3 waters and two Special K protein Packets, 5g each ( that in itself will give me 58g of protein). I am cooking 4 turkey burgers, which I made out of a one pound package of Italian ground turkey, which I binded with some southwest Eggbeaters, and I am also cooking one of those JenneO Turkey breast in a bag. Easy, Easy, Easy. This should cover me through next Saturday. I wanted to have good food prepared and ready to go, so I won't eat bad food. Everything else is going well. I find it very interesting that I now can eat for week for less than I use to spend to eat a day. I guess my food budget is about $25 a week now. I will still treat myself well, since I eat so little I am going to make sure what I eat is the best.

Yesterday I got so busy, that I forgot to eat dinner, so the Grouper I cooked on Friday will be my dinner tonight.

ok first let me say congrats and now let me say I was advised not to have a shake for bfst becayse it funs through you I was told to use the shakes for a snack and the slim fast was a serious nono it is considered a high calorie drink so maybe you should look into that. I know everyone is different and alot of Dr.and Nutrionist work differently but I just thought I would share what my Dr.and my nutrionist told me. Good Luck and I wish you the best. Michelle

Thanks Michelle, my doctor and nutritionist have a completely different take on the shakes. To get the weight off shakes are part of the plan, on the Slimfast, there are two on the market, one has 10g and the other has 20g, the 20g is a low carb and only 190 calories and is a good substitution for the Chike for when I am at work and can't mix my shake. I don't do any snacks even though 2% string cheese is approved if you need one. Since I have no hunger, I have not needed the snacks. I guess what it comes down to is what works for you and so far this is working. Thanks for your comment and this should show to most LB that there are many thoughts on the nutrition and please follow your doctors direction, or make conscious decisions that work for you. Read all you can and make it work for you, in a good way.
