It's almost time....

My surgery is 12 days away and I think about it all the time. This weekend my family and I went to spend time with my grandparents, and that was very nice. My dad's mother was diagnosed with cancer earlier in the week and she got to come home Sat. after she had surgery on Tues., her treatments will start this coming week. Very sad time...we lost our grandfather(her husband) of cancer June 2000. Her pom had 4 puppies today, one didn't make it:cry_smile: but the other 3 are doing good.

Today at church we had Rally Day. It was a day in the park with a hot dog/hamburger cookout and A LOT of those homemade sweets from the older ladies of the church. Man was it hard to even think about being good!!:) So as I have seem to always have said in the past, I'll start my diet tomorrow.

My Dr. didn't tell me to do anything other than clear liquid the day before, but after reading all that everyone has said I have already cut back on my food and plan on doing the clear liquid the WHOLE week before.

Well time to get ready for the new week.....

About the clear liquids for a WHOLE week. A.. might I suggest you don't push it. Low fat yes. Liquids yes. But to restrict yourself to clear liquids for a WEEK is just asking for failure. Really.

You will have to follow a post op diet that is very restrictive but it will be easer because you probably won't want much more then what is recommended.

Sorry about your grandma. Cancer is hard on everyone.

Good luck on your journey.
