im getting nervous. i have no idea if the hospital has sent in my clearences to the insurance company. they're being very vague. they keep saying "well it looks like everything is in order. now you just have to wait for someone to call you with insurance approval" does that mean everything is order and you are about to send it in? OR did you send it in and you're waiting for approval? and how long does approval take anyway?

also..no offense to anyone!! but i havent been able to find anyone to talk to who is my age getting the surgery (im 19)

what if when i get the surgery there is no restriction and im eating more than im suppossed to and i wont even know it?

sorry about venting..i just dont have anyone to talk to about this

7_5_142.gifHey sweetie, there is a special thread just for teens. Just go down the left side of the main page until you find age groups and it will be in there under teens. Good luck on your journey.. I am sorry I can't help with the insurance thing. I was self pay. Hope you can get some answers soon.

Hey hun,

I also haven't had the surgery yet but I feel some of the fears you are describing. I'm 20 years old and waiting for my date as well.

As far as the insurance goes if it has been over a week and a half then you should call the insurance company and see if they have recieved your information and what the status of your approval is. If you get no where with them then have the surgeon's office resubmit the info.

I'm not sure if this helped but any time you need to talk I'm here.

Why don't you pop over to the pre-op or the general support board and start a thread asking for someone your age to talk with. I don't think you will have a problem finding the support you are looking for.

Good luck.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
    • Congratulations! What a great journey! Thank you so much for sharing. You are inspiring!
