3/20/14, six days before surgery

 So today is my 6th day of the ketotic/liver shrinking diet. :angry: Hate it! It's gotta be working though cuz I wanna throw people through windows for sneezing too loud and drench my body in Vick's Vapo-Rub to calm down the squirmy feeling. :wacko:  Headaches...those are awesome too. So I'm thinking it's having some effect on me. I've been working on my plot to get in a last hurrah without cheating on the diet. I'm thinking a homemade slice of pizza with a mocha mint smoothie. Gotta search for some recipes. Surgery in 6 days.

my surgery is in 6 days also! i didnt have to do a pre-op diet but ive been trying one out anyway, trying to move the scale before surgery lol

I had to lose some weight on my own before being cleared by dietary. This diet is to shrink my liver before surgery. I've noticed that the diets vary by surgeon and hospital. I've seen some that are stricter than what I'm doing. I would imagine that it varies by patient also.

Thanks Pepper, I have to knock down the carbs quite a bit to have a slice of pizza. My smoothie will probably be mostly ice with a little mocha mint flavor. Gotta be creative!! :)

      I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.

      I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
