This is discouraging for you I am sure and not what I would expect either. I am pre-op and was hoping for more dramatic results. What does your Dr say?

I am sure you are very discouraged as I am sure that we all would be. Have you talked to the nutrionist or your surgeon. They may want to do a blood test to see if there is something else that could be causing your extremely slow loss.

Write down and count your calories is what I have been told. Also drink more protein and water plus move! That is what I am going to do. I am only 1 month out and was hoping for something more than what I have been seeing on the scale. . anyway you are 6 pounds lighter and that is good! I have also been told that the average loss is only 10 pounds per month so give yourself a chance to catch up too. The hardest part is over with Hon. You did it all ready. Surgery is now part of your past and not your future! Don't give up! God is on your side.

Are you exercising? Walk, ride a stationary bike, dance. My loss has been slow but steady (38 lbs in 3.5 months). But once the swelling in your tummy/midriff goes down you'll see it first in your clothes before you see it on the scale. Stick to the program...it won't fail you!

I thought I was alone, as I lost 15 lbs my first week post-op, then nothing for 10 days. Reading these words of encouragement is very helpful. So, mommy1990, we just need to keep going and following the program and the lbs will have to come off :)

I think there are lots of factors...I have PCOS, and that makes it a bit tough as well. Im at three months and I've lost 39. Some, are way beyond that. The biggest thing is...6 pounds! In 10 months thats 60 pounds! I don't know about you, but I know I can gain 60 in 10 months, but I sure as heck couldn't lose it before the surgery. Things move around too, I noticed that even though I've been the weight I am now before, and have the clothes from that time. The clothes are fitting loser. So, there are inches moving around too.

You are also, still healing. Your body is freaking out. Hang in there!
