4 Weeks Out / Set Back/ Move Forward

Well I am four weeks post and doing good. I made the mistake of trying to progress forward too fast, and wasnt eating the best food. I ate too fast and that caused violent vomiting and had lots of blood coming up. SCARY!

 

I was out of comission for the afternoon, napped andmy husband frantically looked though my weight loss books to find out what was going on. The dr. scolded be BIG TIME and put me back to purree foods.

 

Let me tell ya that was one hell of a reality check! My husband and I have cleaned out the cubbords and fridge and did shopping for all foods purree. I really read through all my lit from the dr again and made a few recipes of tuna salad and egg salad my dr provided and my husband and I LOVED them.

 

Word of advice to all of you new sleevers TAKE IT EASY do not rush! Evalute your habits, how you eat, why you eat, slow down and listen to your new stomach!

 

I am ready to eat my some mashed tatoes tomorrow! Lesson learned I could have been eating turkey "normal" but I didnt focus and take things one step at a time!

mocanitanj....I was sleeved last Friday. I was barely using the morphine in recovery and only took 4 of the 40 Vicatin they sent home with me on Saturday. The hospital will do everything they can to keep you comfortable, just make sure you are honest with your nurses. I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, and a large hate for using medications if I can manage not to. No matter your tolerance, it is managable, just try not to "tough" it out. If you need it, push that button or take that pill as needed. You will get through it just fine.

Not bad....The docs were good about pain meds given every four hours, took some codeine when I got home but nothing after two nights. A month before I tore the ligaments in my knee and had surgery. That was a 10 on the pain scale, the WLS was maybe a 4.

      Xbox And Exercise - Kickboxing

      I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.

      I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
