Things Moving Slow

I totally feel your impatience! It felt like things were going so slowly I decided to pay out of pocket for the psych and registered dietician to cut down on long wait times for approval. Im not sure what insurance you have or what the requirements are but for me personally the process took a month from first meeting with surgeons office til my surgery date which I just got approval for today scheduled for the 27th! If I hadent paid out of pocket the process would have been more like 2.5 months. Hang in there!!

I'm right there with you! This waiting process can be a total nail-biter!! I'm seeing the dietician this week, and the Psych 3 weeks after that and the they submit me for approval...*ack*... Keep us posted on how the process turns out for ya!

Hi All. I'm in the same situation. I have my Psych eval this Friday and God knows what next. They said that it may take up to two weeks to get the results. Once the results are in the nurse managing my case will call with further instructions. CBD I too have time off of work around the holidays and I hope I can get surgery during that time. It does see that for most people this is a 3-4 month process.

It helps that so many of you feel like the process is so long. I finally got a call for my pysch appointment for two weeks from now. I was told that it will be sent to my insurance a few weeks after that appointment . Still hoping for a surgery date right after Thanksgiving.
