I was sleeved on July 2nd. It has not been a bad experience and for that I thank God for guiding my doctor. I was having extreme hunger pains but after reading other posts on the site...I realized that I was supposed to be taking my Prilosec. Now I am doing much better on that end. I have had a mood swing or two but nothing too bad. Whenever I started feeling "Oh my God what have I done...I could have used this money for something else...I remember I am saving my life. I am also happy to be able to enjoy the sleeve while I am relatively young.

As for how things went...well on the day of my surgery, I remember the anesthesiologist coming in and talking to me. I don't remember them saying they was giving me a sedative yet. I was rolled out of the room and I must have been asleep before we turned the corner. The next thing I remember is waking up in recovery and they took me to my room. It must have been three or four hours later, because my husband was starting to get worried. He was happy I was fine. I walked a lot and burped a lot. I was a little sore but nothing like what I imagined. I really thought it would be like having a baby by caeserean but it was not at all like that. I hit the morphine pump maybe 3 or 4 times and the nurses kept telling me it would release every 15 ninutes so don't sit in pain but I wasnt in any pain.

Day 2 went better and I was walking at a regular pace and feeling great so I was released on July 4th.

I have been doing fine and today is day five. Yesterday, I tried some pudding = too thick. My stomach started feeling funny so I threw it away. Other than that I have been doing great.

I had my surgery Tuesday the 3rd. I felt the same, wow this is a breeze. Not at all what I had pictured. I was released Friday due to having a 4 hour drive. Doctor took drain out before I was released.

The one problem I'm expericing is alot of gas and very dry mouth.. Not too painful, just uncomfortable. Do you feel the same? Pudding hit my stomach like bricks, scared me to death. Tossed that puppy right out.

Today I was able to walk 1 mile. I was shocked. Having the dry mouth was the only struggle.

Hope to hear from you

I was sleeved June 29th and have a similar story. No problems or pain or nausea to speak of, we are some of the lucky ones =) Today is day 7 so I was excited to add some creamy soups and thought I could handle a chicken & stars soup, Ummm NO! It hurt as soon as it hit my stomach and once you feel that weird pain you won't do it again!! Tossed it!! I'm not hungry but want the crunch of something, weird feeling =( I'm also tired of broth, water and protein shakes. The protein shakes are grossing me out now, I guess 2 a day for 7 days is enough lol I'm gonna pick up some cottage cheese tomorrow and see how that goes. Thanks for the post! Good to know I'm not the only one lol!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
