Chapter 3: Pureed Chicken

In preparation for my post-op diet, I decided to get out the ol' food processor and puree some chicken. I had read that you could make a pureed chicken and broth mix and freeze it in ice cube trays, and then when you need a quick, small protein rich meal after surgery, well just pop a chicken cube in the microwave and presto! you've got a meal fit for a sleevie queen. ^_^

What a good idea. Pureed chicken with gravy was one of my favorites during that stage.

I used my blender with chicken, peas and carrots. Love the mixture! I put in chicken broth to make it a little runnier.

That is a great idea. Instant protein in a neat little cube. :)

I wonder if like shrimp or fish with some light low fat tartar sauce would taste good or tuna fish with some boiled eggs and mayo.

Hmmm I am getting hungry.
