Ok folks, Time is nearing and I'm starting to freak out that I'm making a ig decision... but too quickly. My sister in law has decided to go with me and have the surgery done as well and I'm hoping that it won't turn into a competition between us as to whom is losing fastest.... however I am so excited that we will have each other to commiserate with through recovery.... It's weird but great at the same time.

This has gone from "should I" to "it's next month" very quickly and while I can't wait for the results part of me is praying for it to not fail...

 

Am I alone in thinking that?

This is YOUR journey, don't let anyone steal your thunder. It's such a personal endeavor after all. And of course, every one loses differently, the body is so complex, and so many things affect weight loss as LVbigmom has stated. Stay focused on YOU. Good Luck!!!

Thanks so much.

Since the original post we have our surgery date for Nov 3 and unto now we've been very supportive of each other and working together well.

Fingers crossed that it continues that way.

I am so excited for my own journey and for her journey. It is very helpful to be on this site to see how iothers are doing, dealing,and just in general getting back to daily life.

      I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
