I am finally having my sleeve put in on Thursday the 22nd. I am so nervous about and I just wanted some pointers on whats the best stuff to take to the hospital on my overnight bag. Wow I am so excited but so very nervous about my new life.

Congratulations!!! I brought a slip on dress (mine was in summer) to wear home. For the hospital, I brought my slippers (you should walk as much as possible), chap stick, toothbrush, and lotion. This was my second surgery in life, the first one Jan. 09, and I learned that I did not like having a lot things at the hospital.

If you haven't already done so, you might want to post on the pre-op forum for more ideas. Good luck!

Congratulations! Everything that deedee said sounds great! Can't think of anything else that I took. I didn't take the chapstick, but I had to get some while I was there. Definitely needed! Everything will go fine! I was sleeved 6 days ago and I'm doing great! Let us know how everything went when you get home!

A lot of people recommend a heating pad, robe, slippers, chapstick, lotion, and a comfortable button up gown or lounge pants. Good luck and we'll keep you in our thoughts ! !
