Wow! Just a few days away and feel very much unsure of what I am doing. I know I need this tool. I know I need to do this if I want to move forward but the idea of it all still is overwhelming. I am sure I preach to the choir but I feel like I am saying good bye to someone I have known my whole life. Food. My companion, my enemy, my comfort, my nemesis. So many feelings. I am glad I found this spot to talk about my feelings. Not sure anyone really understands how I feel but those who are making this choice too. Thanks for the listen.

You wil be just fine I was the same way. I was banded on 21 Jan 13 and I have since lost 38 pounds. We all get scared of the unknown. But I promise you it will be ok. I have no regrets.

If someone said they were not scared, I think they may be lying. We have all been there and you will wake up and start your journey like all of us banded people to a whole new healthier you. Think of all the new clothes you will need for the smaller you. I know I love that part.

A year ago this month I was my highest, 268 wearing a size 20w jean. Now I wear misses size 14 jeans. That doesn't suck.

Good luck on Tuesday!!! take before measurements, I forgot to and I never took before pictures, I have some group ones but never real befores.

Being scared is normal! I obsessed about the rules and everything I thought I would have to give up, but when your banded and following the rules...you realize you aren't really giving up that much....but what you are gaining is so much more!
