2 Weeks Post Op, Mushy Foods And Thanksgiving

I have lost 19 pounds since 11-8-12 thats the good news> the bad news is that I started mushy foods on Thanksgiving day. It was the first meal I have had for 2 weeks and did not go well. I not only ate at one meal but had to go to the in-laws for meal #2. Although I'm sure I didn't eat as much as I used to I did eat more than I thought I would. To say the least I am upset with myself, but have read that I am not alone in this. I started over today with a protien smoothie for breakfast and had a mid day meal of one cup of spaghetti. Each day is a new beginning and enjoy reading everyones post. It is a huge encouragement for me.

Good luck with your band. Are you allowed spaghetti so soon? I know I wasn't. But then every doctor is different. eating so soon can make you sick. I hope you don't get sick.

You are so right every Dr. is different. Thanks for your encouragement. Im back on track, one day at a time. Get my first fill on Dec 19th. Hope your journey is going well.:)

A New New Dawn

I would try to avoid spaghetti myself for future as it has no nutrition. You really want to focus on protein. Grab that leftover turkey, some ff broth or gravy and blend it up, maybe add some veggies too. Getting your protein in first will help you fill up and stay fuller longer.

      Xbox And Exercise - Kickboxing

      I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.

      I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
