Starting Pre Op Diet Wednesday

I have my Dr's visit on wednesday & will get all my stuff for the pre-op and then next Monday I have a mandatory lap band class. Has anyone else had to do this? Or is it just unique to my surgeons office---they said if I didnt attend, I couldnt have the surgery.

In the meantime--I am counting down the last days at work. I told my co-workers I am having surgery & they asked why, but I am NOT telling them. I just dont want to deal with the "how are you doing?" "how much weight have you lost?" or my worse case scenario--I fail & have to live with the fact I had surgery & still couldnt lose weight. Too much pressure!!

I know that this surgery wont make me prettier, younger etc--but what I will get is even better! I cant wait to buy/wear fashionable clothes. I can go horseback riding again!!! I can pursue all the athletic activities Ive missed.

and thats why this is a new chapter in my life!

I am new to the lapband talk. I am 64 years old. I am scheduled for Dec. 5th. I am on my 5th of liquid diet--am

doing good so far. Are there any people my age out there that are going to or have been banded. My doctor

has offered to do sleeve plication along with my lap band. Has anyone had that done?

I am scheduled to be banded 12/12/11 if I am approved from my insurance company. If not, I'll have to wait till January. I am 61 yrs old. I haven't heard much about the sleeve. I've been on the liver cleanse diet for over a week now. I'm looking forward to a new way of life. Good luck on your adventure and keep in touch. I would love to hear how your surgery went yesterday.

      Xbox And Exercise - Kickboxing

      I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.

      I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
