I finally got my surgery date today! I'll be banded in May 16th. I'm excited and real nervous. I have 5 lbs more to lose before surgery. Nervous I won't make it. Going to the gym 4 times a week, measuring all my food and drinking a protein shake for one meal replacement. I was advised today to replace it for two meals to drop that last stubborn 5lbs.

I'm real excited and cant not wait but also on the other hand went to a support class the other night and was told all about the doom and gloom part of being banded, what could go wrong. I have met 5 people that have had the lap band and had to have them removed. So that makes me nervous. I do know that everyone is different. I just hope I can do this and pray I dont have any issues like that. :huh:

good luck, you can do this, im 3 weeks tomorrow post op and was told to replace 2 meals with protein shakes and eat 1 cup veg and 4 oz protein a day and no more i did and didnt cheat and lost 16 pounds in 11 days so you can do it.

      I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
