camille01 LAP-BAND Patients December 15, 201015 yr Author stats I read one blog yesterday and it said that you have a team waiting to serve you ,so if I was you I would call the Doctors office back and let then know that you don't have enough restriction in your band and see what they tell you,If they dont want to bring you back in so soon just start drinking a protein shake 30 minutes before actually eating your meal, that might do...atleast it will help with the hunger....but I would call the doctor back,,,,an old saying is ,,,nuthin bets a failure but a try....camille01
kelly111 LAP-BAND Patients December 15, 201015 yr Author stats Im in the same boat. After my first fill I felt nothing. I called the doc and he put another cc into the band and now I finally feel a little restriction. Its still not enough but I realize I need to take this very slowly. I have only lost a few pounds since surgery. This is much slower than I thought it would be.
chriper LAP-BAND Patients December 15, 201015 yr Author stats Its like that in the beginning. The doctor only gives you so many cc's so your body has time to adjust (and you). I was the same way, but I just had my 2nd fill and I definitely feel the restriction. Just hang in there, its a process.
dooney LAP-BAND Patients December 16, 201015 yr Author stats I'm going through the same thing..I agree with chriper, we just have to hang in there. Good luck.
imaluckydog LAP-BAND Patients December 16, 201015 yr Author stats Blog, make a wish list, get busy, take a walk, ride a bike, write what you are feeling on paper, breathe, drink water, take another walk, do some stairs, write a letter to yourself about what you think you will look like in a year from now, take a bath, do a load of laundry, anything to keep your mind off food. The first few weeks are so hard and take it from someone who has been there and survived, it will take all the effort you have, set your goals and move forward, set goals and let nothing get in your path. Best wishes imaluckydog Banded June 29,2009 lost 110 glorious pounds forever best thing I ever did for myself.
