I Wish I Understood Why

Had lap band surgery three years ago. My main reason was to better control my type 2 diabetes. It took me about a year to lose 30 pounds and as of today I have put 10 back on. I've returned to my old habits...not exercising, not eating the right foods and eating too much. What I can't figure out is why...why would I do this? I'm so disappointed in myself, I'm embarrassed...I feel like a failure.:scared2:

Hi Lucy~

You made the right choice in getting the lap band. It takes will power to make changes in our life. We're all in this together. Instead of thinking of why and being disappointed, think of what can you do to make the changes. This website is a blessing, I read the blogs and I see how others have accomplished their goals, and it inspires me to keep pushing forward. It's time for you to put you first. Failure is not an option. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Take Care,

Dana

HUGS, perhaps it is time to start an eating journal. What are you feeling when you are eating? What happened during the day that may have triggered you? Do you need a fil?

Write this in big letters and put up on your fridge.

"The only way to be a failure is to give up." It will remind you what youa re doing and why. Good luck
