I thought you didn't necessarily have to count calories after this procedure was done..I haven't lost ONE pound, Even after my first fill i'm still hungry alot of the time. I've been losing inches but i want the numbers on the scale to go downk...............this sucks.

Hello sunnydee you have to still watch the calories intake for sure, if not it will sneak back on you before you know it. The Dr's say you can have about 700 calories a day maybe a little more for some. I try to watch everything I eat to make sure the calorie intake is not to high. GOOD LUCK

Everyone is different Sunnydee....depending on if your excercising...you may be losing inches and not losing, muscle weighs more than fat...it all catches up in the end. Debra stated 700...I actually gain weight if I don't get enough calories. I eat 3 small meals and 2 snacks a day (approx 1100 Calories) and within 18 months I lost 130 lbs. I also excercise though...When were you banded? I would also look at what kinds of calories your eating?? Focus on Protein...it really is the key to success. Good luck on your journey.

Hi Sunnydee...I am feeling the same way you are. I was banded on the 19th of Oct. I lost the first 2 weeks but haven't lost anything since then. I guess it will take time. Good luck on your journey..

I agree with Boo. I must have 3 small meals and 2 snacks. I have between 1000 to 1100 each day. I focus on getting my lean proteins first. I am 3 months out and have loss 41 lbs so far. However, I struggled the first month until I was getting enough calories.

i go for my second fill on nov 22nd. I spoke to the dr. and she told me calorie counting is a thing of the past...everyone around me is losing weight with weight watchers and feel i have wasted my money...I sure hope things change as i do watch what i eat, and monitor calories.
