I haven't posted since my post about the acid bothering me. It lasted a week and 1/2 and hasn't bothered me since. I really think it was the stressful week I was having. I'm still on plan . . I'm still walking every day . ..I'm not losing much weight. I'm ok . .remember my motto "I don't care if the weight comes off slowly, as long as it stays off". I still believe that. I am considering, though, that it might be nearing time for my first fill. I don't want to rush it. Things have gone so smoothly so far and I'm afraid of all the "what ifs" involved with a fill . .. what if it's too tight and I have to mess around with not being able to eat properly, and what if I need an "unfill" and what if it kicks up the acid reflux again? All things to consider . . I am still losing slowly - ounces rather than pounds . .. I don't know, lots to consider. Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for all the responses to my acid post - everyone was very helpful.

I felt like that a lot right after my surgery and before I had my first fill. I kept wanting the weight to drop off so quickly. Then, I developed an attitude like you. I will take even a small amount of weight loss. I walk...walk...walk! Keep up the positive attitude. It will help you go far on this journey. :)

A fill will help you to start dropping the weight and I know that the first year is the year in which we lose the most weight with the band, but it is a decision you have to make. I KNEW when I had enough and I actually took out some the last time I went in, a .02CC unfill, not that much, but just wanted that Sweet Spot back and now I KNOW when I am full and I can not eat anymore. I use to lose at least 2 lbs per week, and at the end of 13 mos. I am seeing ozs instead of lbs, but it is ok. It is for life for me. Hopefully the acid will stay away, I use to keep Prilosec in business, LOL

You are doing good just loosing those oz's. Just think, if you were not on this journey you would probably be gaining those oz's. Think positive. Your lucky you are banded, I am still waiting and my day will come. I am doing the dieting without any help from a band because the doctor told me to loose weight or he will not do the surgery so here I am starving and trying my hardest to loose weight for the doctor and of course for myself. I just want that little bit of help from the band. I am proud of you for loosing the oz's, keep up the good work.

I'm glad you are feeling better. I feel better just getting a lot of exercise and eating/drinking healthier. You are doing really well and your attitude is good. Sometimes that is more than half the battle :-).

So glad to hear that you are feeling better! Fills are part of the process and they really do help. Just follow all of the rules and I'm sure you will do great!!
