Too much!

Two weeks ago I had my third fill - added .5 cc - so currently I am at 4.5cc. I followed instructions and for first two days I only had liquids and then mushy food.

Since then, I have been spitting up almost anything non-liquid I try to eat. I follow all instructions - small bites, chew well, no liquid right after eating, etc.

The only food that goes down with almost no spitting up is crab. I have been to Joe's Crab Shack 6 times in last two months....3 times in last two weeks!! I am going to go broke if this keeps up.

I am getting frustrated - wanting to taste other food - can’t stand cottage cheese and soup anymore.

Last week I started to get worried about all this and made an appointment with the doctor...but the day before the appointment I was able to eat three cups of rice and chicken...so I canceled...thinking it was just swelling earlier and I am good to go.

Am thinking it was a mistake to cancel. Since Friday I lost 5 to 7lbs and am constantly spitting up most food.

So, made another appointment for tomorrow - will have x-ray - to ensure my band did not slip or something like that. If it has not slipped, I will ask for that .5cc to be removed...or at least .25cc.

The only thing keeping me from bashing my head with a wet noodle is that thus far (since June 29), I lost 43lbs.

As opposed to head bashing, completely opposed of self infliction of pain myself, get yourself in.

Though we all want to lose we have to do it the smart and healthy way!

You probably need just a little taken out. But I feel you on the cancelling and re-thinking as I've done that multiple times in the last six weeks. Too full, hungry -- I'm going in Thursday so I guess I'd say -- let the doctor know everything going on and do their tests -- they'll figure it out. That's what we pay them for :-). Best of luck to you.........

Seby- let me tell you from personal experience. You have been over filled and the only way to correct all the things you are going through is to have some taken out. I hate that I allowed myself to go through 5 days of hell for a simple fix. I was seen Monday morning by my doctor and within seconds he removed 1cc and my whole life changed back to normal. I still have pretty good restriction, but things are going down the way they should. Make sure you follow up with your doctor so some of the saline can be removed and things will go back to normal instantly. Good luck.

Speaking from experience like Shonette said..an overfill is the worst feeling in the world! I hit 5.0...thought we should go to 6.0...took a couple of .5 and .25 and then .25 to get back to 5.0 before my brain believed me that 5.0 was the right fill amount. I think a lot of us instantly think of band slippage because of all of the throwing up but I guess it does take quite a bit to cause the band to slip. Head on in to the doc..as sandy said..That is why we pay them!! Good luck!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
