So jealous of the people banded the same week as I that will are filled or getting filled in the coming days. I won't get my first fill until the 30th.

 So often in the past weeks I wanted to reverse this. I had so many questions, concerns, scares and I didn't want to burden my doctors office. Then I found this cite and answers to my questions. I think a lot of the answers here are even more honest then what I get from the staff.

No one prepared me for the I am now surgically healed, no restriction weeks. I literally thought I had completely stretched my pouch and had a melt down. I now realize that I feel no restriction because I have no restriction. That will come with the fill.

Question. When you were four weeks out from surgery, but not yet filled, how much could you eat? I am eating about 4-5 ounces 4-5 times a day. I know that physically I could eat more but I try VERY VERY hard not too. I do have actual hunger at times this week.

I was banded 7/28 and won't get a fill until 9/1. I was told to keep my calories to 1200, and that has been hard, I have only been able to get to about 1000 per day. I use myfitnesspal.com to track my calories. I try and choose the most nutrition per calorie as possible and stop eating before I feel full (feeling full comes right after!) Good luck to you!

I was banded 7/15 and eat only 3 times/day. I still use one protein shake just to get my calories UP. I was only taking in 450 calories and was feeling fatigued - I'm still only at 670 - 720 calories each day . .. I am seeing the dietician next week. I just saw the surgeon for follow up and we didn't even talk about a fill - I'm not hungry. I know this will change, but right now I'm good. I eat 3/4 cup 3 times/day. Hope this helps . . remember everyone is different and it sounds like your doc's office has you eating more often than mine does . . so you have to go with what they tell you. Good luck. Oh, and remember to drink too - I get in at least 64 oz. of fluids/day.

I could eat about 3/4C - 1C then and was shooting for about 1200 cals. You're the reason I'm writing a book...how do these Docs not warn you about Bandster Hell? Congrats on the Banding and send me a 'visitor message' or 'PM' if you have questions! -BG

I tried to limit my food to 1 cup at a time, but I had to eat more than 3 times a day. I probably ate 4 or 5 times a day then. Just try and keep what you do eat as diet friendly as possible, grilled chicken, sautéed veggies, salad, etc. It will get better, I promise!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
