First fill

Well folks, tomorrow is the day I have my first fill. I am excited, nervous and anxious.

I'm not worried about the needle, well maybe a little. I am worried about how I will eat afterwards. I've lost 21 lbs since my surgery on 6/21, I am not hungry between meals, I stick to the 3-4oz of protein each meal, and I've been eating brocolli and some salads as well. I don't have any problems swallowing anything, including a hand full of pills at a time and I feel really good. What if I have the fill and then I start having problems eating or drinking? I want to continue to lose this awful weight that has been holding me down for so many years, and I think perhaps the fill will help me do it more quickly, but I fear the unknown. I just hope I am as comfortable after the fill as I am now.

Yesterday I was cleaning out a drawer in my dresser and found 2 pairs of capri pants and a pair of black jeans that I bought 6 years ago when I went on my 50th birthday trip to New England with my 2 best girlfriends. I haven't been able to wear them since, but held on to them hoping one day... I was not only able to get into them, but they are now too big on me. I've already taken in the waistband on one pair of capris and will work on the other 2 pairs over the weekend. Boy, that felt so good. Let's remember that 6 years ago I was at 268lbs. I am now at 232.4.

I'll report back after a day or two to let you know how I am doing with the fill. Wish me luck - I hope it is everything everyone says it is.:)

That's awesome on your weight loss! Don't worry about the fill. If you are doing that well and not hungry you may not get a fill. Usually with the first fill you really don't notice a difference after the first day. At least I didn't. I've had 2 fills and Monday they said I was in the green zone and didn't need a fill this month.

Good luck with your fill!! I am also stuck at 21. For 2 days after the fill it went to 25 but once I started eating solids again it went back up :)

I keep complaining I can't lose any weight and my family is like you lost 21 in a month what more do you want!!!!

I was worried about the same things before my fill and I am fine, a little too fine now so I am looking forward to 2nd one on the 11th. Good luck!!

You are doing so well. I am so proud of you, your head is in the right place. I eat a ton of broccoli I just love it now and never ate it before LB LOL. I am cleaning my closets as well I have had to give so much away. It seems I bought clothes that did not fit and now they are all too big. It is a good feeling. I did not start to feel restriction until after my 3rd fill. But remember to "eat small to be small" is my moto... The fills always seem to kick in a few days later so eat slow and chew as a reminder. You will know when you feel it. Best wishes imaluckydog

I had my surgery Feb 9 and the first fill in April...7ccs. Well gotta tell you I could have gone on my whole life like that--down 30 plus pounds and could eat...but I realized that I was eating too much when I stalled at 35...so went back in this week and now I am really suffering--new doc added 2 ccs...and I keep feeling stopped up. Starting to feel like a bulemic running to the restroom and forcing myself clear. happened today after one soft boiled egg...It is painful and very uncomfortable and seems to happen in the morning more often. Any ideas for me??
