Frustrated

ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I am so freakin frustrated, I'm hardly eating, working outside ALL THE TIME, don't stop moving, AND THE WEIGHTS NOT COMING OFF!! I haven't lost a single #&%*$& pound for WEEKS. Ya ya, i've lost 20 so far, but 15 of those was before the band on that liquid diet phase. CrAP!!! I......HARDLY.....EAT.....ANYTHING!!! I nibble more at night, but hey, that's hardly anything at all. some nuts, cold chicken, ok i had a icecream drumstick one night. i hardly think that's going to keep me from losing for WEEKS.

I have good days and bad days. Obviously this is a bad day, they've been going on for a while now i guess. i got the manic lows, the manic highs don't last as long, sometimes just for a couple hours.

Now i got to get off my butt, get to work while the sun's shining, i can't do much in the rain.

Hey Sue, sorry to hear your frusterated, when did you get your band? Are you eatting every 2 - 3 hours small amounts? No one ice cream is definatly not going to kill you and make you not loose weight, just as long as your not eatting them all the time. How is your restriction with your band? You say that you can eat cold chicken? I still have a hard time with chicken??? Well it also could be that your body is going into shock, cause of this new foreign object inside you and it's just going to take a little while to get used to having this thing and then your going to start loosing big. Don't worry unless your eatting way too much, your body will catch up!!! Good luck!!!

LAP-BAND Patients

This process can be very frustrating! Even though I absolutely hate logging my calories, I have found that it makes a difference. Even if it is just for a couple of days to get an idea of where you are. I find that my nibbles add up more than I ever thought. You might give it a shot. If you are doing what you should, it will eventually work! I'm not good with patience either so I totally feel you!!

I agree with responses above. Use a site like sparkpeople.com or livestrong.com and log your food and your thoughts while eating for a week. Can you meet with a nutritionist/dietician at your surgeon's office? Bring the downloaded logs with you.

When I started logging EVERYTHING I ate I found it was A LOT MORE than I thought it was. Not more food, more carbs or more calories or too many snacks.

Also on exercising, do you have a trainer? Are you working at your target heart rate? Again what happened to me is I was "working hard" but since I was at about 50% of target heart rate I wasn't really burning any fat or building muscle, just pushing pedals on an elliptical.

I hope this helps. I think we all go through "stuff" and sharing our experiences and how we've overcome issues is a big part of this site. Good luck to you and keep the faith!
