I got my call to be there at 6am tomorrow! I am a nervous wreck! I am feeling so hungry today, part of me wants to eat food but I also don't want complications so I am sticking to liquids and eggs.

Trying to get the house and kids organized for at least the next three days.

I got all my prescriptions, gasx, liquid tylenol, heating pad, ice packs.. any other suggestions? Oh and of course my isopure and broth! :smile2:

Don't be nervous. Definitely stick to the food plan so your liver doesn't give your surgeon any trouble. Before I got banded, I watched a video clip of a lap band surgery on youtube. Not for the squeamish, but it's interesting. Odds are you won't remember anything about the surgery itself. The only thing I remember is moving from the gurney to the operating table. Two hours later I woke up in recovery. Your tummy won't be pretty afterwards (I have 5 incisions), but this is no time for vanity. That comes later! Good luck!

Do not be nervous you will be in and out befor you know it.. This 2 weeks before with all liquids is new for the past 2 or so years they found out that the best results comes from a smaller liver.

My suggestion to you would be buy a good scar cream

to use it as soon as your wound has healed. The cream is great for, both old and new scars.. All the best to you, Good luck.

I am jealous your doctor allowed you to eat eggs. I have had no solid foods all week, but I know the outcome will be great.

I have to be at the hospital at 6 in the morning tomorrow as well. I am not nervous about the surgery, I am I think a little nervous about how to eat and lose afterwards. I know I have to do the 70-80 grams of protein daily, but I am so sick of Isopur and protein shakes. My friend had the surgery 3 years ago and said she still has shakes. I was hoping to cut them out except for after fills, but I'll speak with the nutritionist afterwards and get a complete meal plan started.

Best of luck. Don't be nervous - you have a brand new life staring you in the face. Grab it and run with it. I am.

I am so sure you will be fine. Keep us posted during your recovery. I found ice chips were my best friend directly after surgery. Looking foward to your next post.
