LAP-BAND Patients

1. PB 1-2 times a month at most (sliming just before PB other than that never)

2. Operator error..eat either too fast or too big of bite

3. That day I will do liquids and then I am fine

4. Prefer to PB than to have the pain

5. PB-ing was much better than what I was expecting, much easier on the body (not a violent puke, if that makes sense).

6. I use pineapple juice and it is all over in a matter of minutes. The only funnies now is if i really have to go to the bathroom after dinner someone may comment "was the chicken too dry tonight?"

LoseIt!

LAP-BAND Patients

1. Not often...a couple times a month maybe. Although with cold water, it happens all the time.

2. Anytime I drink cold water, especially early in the day, it comes right back up. With food, it is when I have taken too big a bite or swallowed something I shouldn't have. I do get tighter when I'm stressed, but I can usually tell.

3. I have been very fortunate to not PB enough to have a protocol.

4. If I am home, I will PB over waiting it out. Usually, I have had the choice. I have never had it happen automatically except with the water.

5. Much easier than expected. The slime is gross though.

6. None thus far.

Good luck!

LAP-BAND Patients

1. 2 to 4 times a month

2. I always drink hot tea with lemon because anything cold constricts me. When I go out to eat, I get nervous and I think that causes me to constrict and PB. I worry about being the last one to finish eating, and worry about getting stuck. The warm tea helps to open me up and be able to get the food down better and not get stuck.

3. I usually just eat soup or mushies for the rest of the day.

4. I PB over waiting it out. I want to out of pain and I slime a lot.

5. PB is far less easier than I expected. When I start having saliva collect in my mouth and not go down (slimming) I know I am stuck and it has to come up

6 When I know (#5 answer) is happening I immediately excuse myself and go to the restroom. No embarrassing moments except always being the last one at the table to finish, and everybody is waiting on me.

Good luck on undertaking such a project.

I am an avid fan of all your blogs, and you have really helped me a lot!
