Loose 1/2 the weight?

Why do I keep reading that you can only loose 1/2 the weight you want? This doesnt make sense. If I have 70 lbs to loose, does this mean Im only going to loose 35?

I do not know why people say this? Maybe it is the average? I have lost 97 pounds in 11 months thats about what I needed to lose. When I lose three more pounds I will be at my desired weight. These last three pounds for me have been the hardest. I have been at same weight since February. Up and down maybe two pounds. Working with my band. I am happy and wear a size 12p down from a size 24 plus so I have absolutely NO complaints I LOVE MY LB. imaluckydog
