My 1st Visit

My evaluation/1st visit was this afternoon, for the most part, it went okay. I'm excited yet apprehensive. Having never had a surgey procedure in my life, my apprehension is too be understood. My height & weight were taken and while I had an idea about my height, my actual weight..somewhat shocked me. I don't know if i was, me being shocked how high it wasn't. But the the shock of how high it is. The number was ALWAYS higher in my mind. But then we are our own worst critic to it doesn't really suprise me that I had bumped the number up by about 100 pounds or so. I'm a tad overwhelmed @ the moment. :blushing:

I understand your apprehension.....this is major stuff. I am in the process of getting approved. I have begun the process of all of the "pre" surgery stuff...and it looks like a hectic road ahead....but I totally feel like its a journey worth taking. Use this site as much as you can...it is soooo awesome. when I first visited this site I was amazed of how many supporting people with tons of info there was. It helps to know that "you are not the only one". best wishes

They journey is an interesting one and you meet great people along the way. Apprehension is good, the more apprehension, the more soul-searching you'll do.

You may find that the band is not the best thing for you but it is worth the effort to begin the process. It is not too late to turn back until the day of your surgery.

Good luck in whatever your future brings!

Thank you both for your kind words, they are greatly appreciated. I have almost obsessively been on this site..lol The stories, all of them are so inspiring. And I love how people share, both the positive, the negative and everything between! Its real, and Lord, that's what I need.
