3 Days Post op

Alright so I'm three days post op now. Things are going ok and I seem to be doing fine. I had major pains from gas in my upper chest area the past two days but they are less today.

What hurts the most now is the incisions. They feel like they are stretching a lot and hurt whenever I stand or sit down. I'm also having a LOT of trouble sleeping, just cannot seem to get comfortable every night : /

Now that it has been a couple of days I am starting to think about moving back to school and starting classes in a couple of days. Its bringing up issues that I didn't think about pre surgery. For example my abdomen area is still going to be really sore because I am going back in four days and I'm worried about not being comfortable in the tight desks.

Another issue is trying to get off the mandatory meal plan that my school forces me to get. First of all its physically to much food that I cannot eat and second there is honestly no healthy options that I could be making from that food. So that is going to be a long process I guess trying to talk to the right people and prove that I need that done. O well it all has to work out right? haha

You may be ok anyway at school because you physically will not be able to consume the total amount of the meal. But it does hinder the weight loss when you can not prepare the food yourself and know how it is prepared, what kinds of oils used, etc. After a week my port area (the area stitched inside was the sorest) stopped being painful, just knew it was there and a little discomfort and the other places were well on their way to healing. When do you go back for your followup appt? If you are still sore then, make sure you are not getting any infections! I feel for you, because I have been there with you, right where you are, I had gas pains in my chest and shoulder(left) soo baddd! Walking helps that, moves it around and gets rid of it! Your stomach is so swelled right now and as that goes down, and it will, you will be able to sit in the desks with no problem, in a couple of months and they will get passed before you know it, (I know seems like time is standing still right now) you will be smaller and happier! Hang on!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
