ok so i had my surgery almost 3 months ago and happy to say that i am down 35 lbs!!!! i have been sooo motivated and eating all the right things and, although there is always temptation, i have told myself time and time angain that this is my new life, and a new way of looking at food....

on that note, i had my first epispde of GETTING STUCK.....WOW thought i was having a heart attack...ate a crab ragoon and 10 mins later had massive "chest pain" (as i like to call it) and really felt like i was gonna die  I have NEVER felt that way b4 ...even while in labor AND the delivery of 3 kiddies over 9 lbs (not all at the same time...) WORST pain of my life...thank god it was over in 40 mins....

well, last nite i had TERRIBLE pains which felt like post-op gas/swelling we all know too much about....after about 8 hours of dealing with this, I realized it was gas pains and that I had been drinking from a straw for the last few days...(I'm in loooove with unsweetened ice tea from WaWa or Dunkin donuts) Then I remembered NO STRAWS.

WOW.,....never thought a straw could do soooo much damage.

moral of the story....STAY AWAY FROM STRAWS and REALIZE EVERY OUNCE OF FOOD THAT GOES INTO YOUR BODY......lesson learned:thumbup:

Sooo true.. 3 weeks post-op and I picked that up last week when my gas *suddenly* came back.. But I refuse to not use a straw in public, I'm just strange like that.

Wow, really? I had no idea! My friend has lap band surgery in April and I'm pretty sure he uses one when we all go out to eat but I could be wrong. I'll have to remember this for when my time comes!

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
    • Congratulations! What a great journey! Thank you so much for sharing. You are inspiring!
