Aetna 3 month supervised diet.........

Has anyone gone through the three month diet and have failed to lose any weight that is 15 pounds or greater. I am going up and down week after week with my weight. I would lose a few pounds this week and gain it back next week. I mean is it just me or has anyone else experienced this twisted diet that Aetna requires.

It's good that you're failing on the diet, it shows them you need the surgery. The upside of going through a place like True Results like I did is that they let you in on all of the tips, tricks and secrets.

I had my band done on my Aetna insurance and I had to do 6 months, 3-4 of them were to be nutritional visits. They told me to be sure not to lose more than 10 lbs before I was cleared for surgery, or they would more than likely have it rejected.

I was approved first time out, lost about 9-12lbs during the time period but as soon as I went on the pre-op diet I lost 32lbs in 3 weeks. So just hang in there, get your approval and then you really start your losing process.

I've never gone on the diet Aetna requires but that is what happened to me every time I did any diet. Didn't work. Things will be better once you get the band!

Ms. Jackson thank you for your esponse. I have been wondering if they were expecting me to lose a certain amount before getting approve. I guess I will have to just hang in there until Feb. Thanks.

Well i 2 had Aetna and they need to see that you are trying to lose. I lost like 7 pounds on that 3 month diet. I think the most important thing that you can do Is make the changes as you go. If you drink a lot of soda start dring Chrsytal light. You know start controling the amount you eat. Because real talk if your surgent is like mine he gave me a little fill when he put my band in and I cant eat nothing that I use to eat. I went from downing 3 to 4 pork chops to eating 1 at the most. Let fired food and fast food go trust you wont miss it. It's a long journey bro and you are making a good choice on taking control of your life. remember the band aint some magical wond that makes the weight go away. Its your hard work and your drive with the help of the band that will keep you in line lol. Good Luck.
