hang in. I am six days post op and feel like I am back to about 70 percent. The pain should subside in another few days.

I was able to lie on the side opposite my port easier. I was kinda balled up but it worked because I'm not a back sleeper. That really helped me feel better. Good luck!!

Im 15 days in and I felt about 80% better once it had been a week. Putting a pillow on my stomach helped a lot and I slept on the opposite side of my port(its usually on the rt. side of your stomach). I feel pretty normal now but sometimes I get a pain in certain places on my stomach. I'm about 95% just wishing I could each a real meal!!

I'm 3 days post op and I am with you. It is very hard to sleep on my back all night, but last night I did sleep on the side opposite the port and did much better. I am still pretty sore where the port is though. The rest is healing nicely. Looking forward to my first doctor's visit on the 11th so I can go onto mushy foods. Getting pretty sick of this liquid diet. I know I have to be patient. That this stage will pass and so will the pain. So hang in there and listen to the bandster veterans. That's where I get my motivation....

I am day 4 today and am feeling better everyday. The pain the first few days was rough and I am just starting to get some sleep. I am getting hungry at this point and have a call in to the dr to see if I can switch to full fluids now from clear. It is getting beter and having support and advie from here is really helpful! Hang in there crazychica it will all be worth it (from what I am hearing).

Try a heating pad for your back, and like others here I did sleep on my side. You wont believe how much better you'll feel after a few more days...hang in there, it's all so worth it! If you're getting dizzy, make sure you're getting in enough fluids and calories...don't worry about WL, this time is for healing. Feel better soon! -BG

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️

      Einarmige Banditen
