I've never been 'sore', no matter what i've eaten or has been stuck. Is this common and will I feel that when my band is tighter? I am sure I have yet to hit that sweet spot i've heard so much about...

I'm in the sweet spot at last, and dropping about 2 lbs a week. Honey, you just learned a lesson-- The Band Never Sleeps. (grin) Yep, even on vacation or when in crisis, your band just doesn't stop functioning. You can screw yourself royally by eating foods that will pass, and drinking methyl-ethyl-bad-stuff (spank! spank!) and you will gain weight. Now, get back on the stick. Your band only controls solid mass. You can get around the band, and apparently you're doing so. Stop stretching your pouch. Now, go see the doc and make sure there's nothing medical. Once you've done that, get back on a healthy diet. Don't make me drive out to your place and boot you in the butt. (grin)

Oh BG,

Welcome back, we did miss you. I logged on everyday looking for your post, not remembering how long your vacation was going to be....First a quick update to you on me, I went in and only lost 1 lb. in a month!! Boy, it really sucks when you have to face the nurse. They look at you and you know what they are thinking, but once again, I am the one who is not following the band rules, so I just got to get up on that horse again. So, they gave me a little fill, I am at 6cc. I am like you and I am having so many incidents especially in restaurants where I ate too fast and that last gulp of water is just pushing me over the edge, to get to the bathroom fast before I puke in front of all these people trying to eat their dinner. Whats worst is that people are in other stalls and your feet are NOT facing the right way......I know my husband made a similar comment that yours did. Some days, its happening 2 & 3 times. I am surprised I am not sore like you. Anyway, I will be curious if after a few days things start to settle down with you and like you said its a combo of issues. But stress being the biggest. A few days without MIL might help. I bet you feel a dilemma with getting another fill, you don't want to overfill but you don't want to pass up the opportunity for restriction/weight loss...

I don't know about you but Labor Day is going to be a huge challenge for me, we are going to northern CA. to see our very good friends who LOVES to Drink, Cook and Eat!!

Hey, BG !!! It is soooo good to know you're back!! We have all missed you!! I think I would talk to the Dr. before I got another fill!! You probably don't need one! The last time, in Aug., the Dr' and I both agreed that I was doing o.k., losing 1/2 to 1 pd a wk, no PBing or slimming, so he told me that he didn't want to give me one because he doesn't want me to start having problems. We have to remember that the band is only a tool and we have to make the right decisions on our food choices!! I have to agree with your DH ( as bad as I hate to take his side over you!! lol) but I know when I first got banded, I was drawing alot more attention to what I was doing rather than what I was not doing! So now when I go out with ppl that don't know, I try to eat smaller portions, chew longer, take smaller bites, and I don't know if you've thought of this, but my Dr. suggested playing with your food on your plate while everyone else is talking. That way no one really notices that you're not eating that much and you can finish when they do! But any way, I'm sooo glad your back and everything will be o.k.!!!! Can not wait to hear "the rest of the story"!! Sharon

Maybe you should postpone your fill. I was banded on the same day as you were. I had one too many fills this last time (last Wednesday) and had to go back for a tiny un-fill.

I too feel like I am just figuring this thing out. One day at a time...
