It is great as always to read your posts! I think your blog has helped me every bit as much as all the literature I got with my surgery!! I am beginning to see exactly what you mean about retraining after a fill. And I totally GET the part about if you can't do regular food without PB then it's time for an unfil!! YOU DO seem like you're in the ZONE!!!! WOW!! Congratulations on the last couple of weeks!! You're doing great!

Hi BG, Great blog today thank you I always need to hear what you have to say. I have been very uncomfortable after my fill. Yes, I could get an un fill if I could not keep any thing down. I just need to work with my band. I have had to really think about my choice of proteins and how they are prepared and the size of bite I take. I spend so much time now I have to take at least 45 minutes to eat. For example I had 6 small pan seared scollops over lettuce and 5 soft not soggy FF for lunch today. That took me 45 minutes to eat. I was out at a club and did not want to get stuck. I did not drink when everyone had their iced teas. I chewed the first bite and I may not have chewed well enough so I felt it. I had such fear of you know what!!!! I just engaged in the conversation and left my fork on the plate. The person next to me had the same dish as I had and she was finished eating and I had not even had my second bite yet. I was so proud of myself as I have been in a lot of pain lately. It took almost 3 to 4 days for me to feel any restriction after my first fill. So I am also a member of the Chebacca chew club I am the one to the right of the brunette I have the long braids. LOL I don't even like food any more and I have to force myself to make good choices. I had ribs the other night. I used to eat an entire rack I could only eat two. Thinking of you imaluckydog who did not get stuck today of once. Kathy

Great post BG. I was like you with the tacos - unbelievable. I rarely think about food now which is a major milestone for me. Isn't it weird?

BG,

Its almost midnight and I just logged on to read your entry. Hopefully, you will get this. First of all I am feeling and dealing with exactly the same issues. I must say I was eating too fast, and my band was protesting. I threw up at least one to two times a day. BUt the last 2 days things have settled down. Its amazing how fast when that food is bound and determined to come up, how fast it does. Before lapband I never threw up ever, so the rare times I did was a biggie. But not now. I have even ran out into my back yard because I couldn't make it to the bathroom. The only down side to that is my dogs follow and I have to shoooo them away from it...I know TMIIIIII I am eating more slowly. I ate a lot today, (ate Mexican food at a my favorite restaurant, and then dinner at Islands which is a fun restaurant in CA.) but slowly....not sure if thats a good thing or not...eating too much is still too much.......

The other red flag for me is the H20 as well. Way to thick urine and bright yellow. So my goal like yours is to increase the water and sip it slowly. Lastly, I need to address this issue with myself, is the good old "vino" goes down with no problems and its loaded with calories/ I need to make the conscious choice of stopping that, I know I would have lost so much more if I wasn't supplementing with wine.

Congratulation's to you BG and Lucky Dog.

Sincerely,

Barbara

I am so glad to see I am not alone! Your blog really made me laugh! I too am filled to about a 5 and am having the same issues. Some days are really good, and others not some much! I too, look back and see how much I used to eat and wow, no wonder I weighed too much! And I thought I was a good eater!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your blog. What's the difference between a PB and actually throwing up? I apologize in advance for the grossness of the question. Sometimes I can tell I've eaten one bite too many and it comes up but that's it. Which is that? Will it hurt my band? I don't have it nearly as often as I am learning when to stop and to slow down but occasionally it happens.
