So I am almost five months post op. I've lost 12 measly pounds but over 20 inches. I am down at least four sizes. My 24's and 26's jeans are too big...I'm in a comfortable 22 and a fitted 20. I still don't see the results. I feel it in my clothes. I hate that I am not dropping pounds. The scale isn't moving. It's very discouraging. I am thinking of the bypass. However, I've had 4 surgeries during the past 8 months and the thought of another procedure is fearful.

I see women on here who have lost extreme weight. Like 80 pounds and I've not even broke 20. My doctor sees the difference, my family and friends does. I don't. It's times when I absolutely regret getting the band. I know I did the right thing for myself though.

My doctor said that I am doing great and that my body is adjusting to the increase in muscle. He said that the muscle is increasing which of course weighs more than fat. So, he said that eventually I will began to drop pounds like crazy. He said it will melt off and won't stop.

He just encourages me to continue to never stop hitting the gym. I won't. Well I feel better since I've vented...

Husband's still an ass....

Thanks for listenin!

It's good that you are dropping inches and turning the fat into musle. Musle burns more calories. Keeup up the good work!

But you do see the difference! You said it yourself "over 20 inches" and ""My 24's and 26's jeans are too big...I'm in a comfortable 22 and a fitted 20".

Don't think that your only success is shown in your weigh alone!

You wrote about a "non weight triumph". What others do you have?

Mine: notched my belt one loop tighter this week, my kids tell me they can put their arms around me now when they give me hugs, I can last a whole hour in my Zumba class w/out having to stop for water or an extra breath...

Those count too!

I see that you measure, have you been taking pictures too? I use that so I can see the difference.

You are doing great--really, keep it up.

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.

      Einarmige Banditen
