 Wow! I was banded 6/22 and I am feeling great! 5 days post-op!!

I do have one sore spot on my left, there is a buldge, with pain. I hope it's not a hernia. But I see my doctor on 6/30 for my first follow up.

I did step on my scale .......scared....then overjoyed to see 9lbs already gone in 5 days!

I am so thrilled, because I am now back in the 230's.

My starting weight was 254.5 lbs:frown:

I know it won't be this fast all of the time...but it was such a good feeling to see that damn scale move in the down direction!!

My insurance covers 90%, the rest I have to pay. I did not have to do a liquid diet, I had to just lose 10 pounds any way I wanted to. But it was the hardest 10 I ever had to lose. I think because i was also having "my last of this and last of that ".

Just take one day at a time:) Good Luck!!

I went for a bike ride yesterday because i got the green light to do so at my first post-op. appt. Surprised that it didn't hurt to ride the bike!!! Yippy.

My toughest battle is sleeping in my bed, I had to return to the couch, because the matress is too soft and there isn't much for me to grab to help me roll over. i felt like a turtle on it's back!! Not very flattering

    • I’ve used my Xbox for exercise games too and it can be pretty motivating, especially on days when I don’t want to leave the house. Kinect games really do make you move, and after a session with kickboxing or dancing, I always feel like I’ve actually gotten a solid workout. The controller-free setup feels way more natural for workouts than anything I tried on the Wii. Zumba is fun but definitely takes a little time to get the moves right. Lately, when I’m not working out, I spend time trading CS2 skins and finding new guides on this link. There’s a lot of interesting tips if you’re into games outside of fitness too.
    • I'm literally almost crying reading this. Mostly because I'mon this pre-op diet and these last two days have been difficult... but also because I needed this! Thank you! Congrats! And a BIG congrats on quitting smoking a second time! It was hard enough to do it once... So - when I say BIG congrats... I mean BIIIIIG congrats! ❤️
    • Congratulations! What a great journey! Thank you so much for sharing. You are inspiring!

      Einarmige Banditen
