I had my surgery on May 19, 2009. It was pretty uneventful. I went to the surgical center at 5:30, my surgery was scheduled for 7:30. I was nervous and excited. I was taken to the preop area and was hooked up to the IV. I was weighed and was suprised to find that I weighed in at 233. This was 8 lbs. less than when I started my preop diet. I was 241 at the Dr.'s office.

As I was laying there I thought "What are you doing?" but, I was told it was time to go and I was wheeled into the operating room. I slid on to the table and then remembered waking up in the recovery area and was taken to my room. I didn't want to spend the night but my insurance made me :crying:. After just a few minutes in my room I was removed in a wheelchair to have the fluoro done. I drank a little bit of disgusting Barium liquid and stood there while 2 technicians made sure that the liquid passed through the band. Then I was taken back to my room. I was a little uncomfortable but not in pain. I was released to go home the next day at noon.
