Can anybody tell me how long they were off work? I have an office job and I'm having my surgery on a Wednesday, I was thinking about going back to work that Monday. Is that too soon? :thumbup:

With an office job you may be all right going back on Monday. I teach 5th grade, I had surgery on a Thursday and went back to work the following Thursday. I felt pretty tired by the end of the day but I made it. I've heard some people on here say that they needed more time, had lots of gas pain and pain around their incisions. (I still had gas pain in my shoulder when I went back to work and was still taking 1/2 dose of my pain meds). I would recommend telling your boss that you plan to come back on Monday but ask if it would be alright if you have any problems or are not feeling well if you could take a couple more days or work 1/2 days. Then you can play it by ear and see how your doing on Monday. Good Luck!

You should be just fine with that. I went back to work after 3 days. I have an office job also.

I have an office job also. I took one week, and was extremely tired when I went back. Ended up doing 1/2 days for the first couple of days back.

I too work in an office setting, banded on December 17th, and went back to work on January 5th. It was 2 1/2 weeks, but there were 2 Holidays in there.

I was tired those first few days - especially in the afternoon - I work 8 - 5 Monday - Friday...so I would play it by ear! The Holidays might have also contributed to tiring me out as well!

Thanks for all the responses. I'm back at work and I'm doing pretty good. I've only been taking the pain meds at night since that's when I hurt the most. I'm down 15lbs already so I'm excited. Starting to get hungry, ready for my first fill.
