I am 26 and will be banded 09-10-10 with Dr, Umbach in Las Vegas. I am so excited to lose the weight! Last year I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder called polymyositis. Basically, that means that my joints hurt all the time. HOWEVER, I believe that this problem can be solved with weight loss. I am so excited to get my band but am TERRIFIED of the first month or so...when I will be on the liquid (then puree) diet. I will update as I go. I enjoy reading all of your stories and I wish you all the absolute BEST.
