My name is Teresa and I am 54 years old. I found BariatricPal by doing a search on Google Play for Bariatric apps. I had Gastric Bypass Surgery June 10, 2015 at Mayo Health System in Mankato, Minnesota. My Surgeon was Dr. Gilmore and she is wonderful. I started my journey in March 2014. I had read about GBS being the best treatment for Type 2 Diabetes. After over 15 years of fighting this disease I was ready for something new. I have put my health on the "back burner" for many years while raising my three kids as a single mom. I decided now is the time for me!
 
I hope on BariatricPal I can find support for this journey. I have already found so much information by reading the posts of others. I live in a small rural town and there are no support groups near. I think this would be the next best thing.
