I find this to be the hardest part. me. I am a lap band failure. Harsh? maybe, but it's how I feel. I got the lap band back in 2007. I weighed 245. I was successful at first. I lost 20lbs relatively easy. Then I started up some bad habits. I found foods that would go down no matter how tight my band was. And the worst food it was the easier it went down. Over the next 5 years I did manage to exercise and do some things right. My lowest during this time was 190. Hernia, Gerd, and yo-yo weight later I decided enough was enough. The band wasn't for me.

So, here we are, 7 years later starting from scratch. I weigh 212 and I'm getting the band removed and having by-pass. I start my 6 month nutrition classes on 7/29/14. I'm going to be a good student and PAY ATTENTION! I have learned that I need support as well. I am not brave enough to tell anyone I know so I am going to join a local support group and stay active on this site.......... I'll keep you posted
