I am currently day 5 post-op, and I'm trying to learn the different rumbles and pains in my belly. I'm feeling like I'm almost always hungry.
I have been on methadone for almost 4 years now, which made controlling my pain directly after the surgery very difficult. But we knew this going in and were prepared. Thankfully my hospital has a pain management group for inpatients and was always there to make sure they were doing everything they could to keep me comfortable.
